Community Presentation by Open World Delegation from Ukraine
February 2, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Please join us and meet the delegation of six professionals from Ukraine, visiting Sebastopol through the Open World Program.
Open World is a congressionally sponsored program that brings professionals from post-Soviet and developing countries to the U.S. to experience open government and study a variety of topics pertinent to their countries. Since 2008, Sebastopol World Friends has hosted seven Open World delegations from Ukraine.
This group will stay in Sebastopol for two weeks focusing on the topic “Developing Child and Family Counseling Networks.” One of the highlights of their stay is the community presentation, which will showcase their professional experience in Ukraine and their initial impression of their stay in Sebastopol and the U.S.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity! It is open to the public and admission is free. Light refreshments will be served.
Over $60,000 in support has been generously provided by the Sebastopol community thus far to our sister city.
This fall, we aim to help purchase solid fuel heaters for a large dormitory building to house families displaced by the war in Chyhyryn. The total needed for this purchase is over $13,000. Already, Sebastopol Rotary and Rotary members have generously donated over $7,000 to make this project happen. We are reaching out to our community to help fund the remainder.
Please consider a donation to the Stand With Ukraine Fund at Sebastopol World Friends to make this purchase happen before winter really starts.
