DESCRIPTION:Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities\, Inc. (CTSC) invites the community to celebrate the arrival of spring at the Annual Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival on April 25 and 26\, returning to Memorial Park\, the Quinlan Community Center\, and the Senior Center. This beloved two-day festival brings the sights\, sounds\, and flavors of Japan to the heart of Cupertino while honoring the city’s long-standing sister city relationship with Toyokawa\, Japan. \nFestival hours are 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.\, with free admission\, free performances\, and free parking available at De Anza College and the Flint Center Parking Structure—making it an easy and welcoming event for all ages. \nFood lovers can explore two vibrant food areas throughout the festival. The food court behind the Quinlan Center features a wide range of Japanese favorites\, from sushi and gyoza to bento boxes\, teriyaki bowls\, mochi\, boba drinks\, shaved ice\, and sweet treats. Japanese beer\, sake\, and plum wine are also available. At the Senior Center\, food trucks offer additional menu options and variety. \nInside the Quinlan Community Center\, visitors can enjoy a full day of cultural exhibits\, live demonstrations\, and interactive activities\, presented by artists\, performers\, nonprofits\, and community groups. Highlights include music and dance performances\, hands-on cultural experiences\, and a special exhibition of student artwork from Toyokawa shared through CTSC’s annual art exchange program. \nThe Japanese Artisan Pavilion\, located at the Senior Center and patio\, brings together traditional arts and crafts vendors\, Shogi demonstrations and instruction\, and a visual timeline showcasing decades of friendship between Cupertino and Toyokawa. \nOutdoor performances take place throughout the day at the Amphitheater featuring Taiko drumming\, traditional and contemporary Japanese dance\, martial arts\, and live music. A special Saturday midday presentation welcomes festival guests\, community leaders\, student delegates\, and honored visitors. Across the park lawns\, attendees can browse arts and crafts displays and connect with special interest groups\, including Japanese dog and koi clubs. DESCRIPTION:Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities\, Inc. (CTSC) is proud to present the 41st annual Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday and Sunday\, April 26 & 27\, 2025\, at Cupertino’s Memorial Park\, the Quinlan Center\, and the Senior Center. This fun family festival honors Cupertino’s sister city relationship with Toyokawa\, Japan by sharing Japanese arts & culture with the entire community. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.\, admission is FREE\, entertainment is FREE\, and parking is FREE at De Anza College and the Flint Center Parking Structure. \nThere will be two Food Courts. Behind the Quinlan Center will feature sushi\, spam musubi\, gyoza\, yakisoba\, mochi\, teriyaki chicken rice bowls\, bento boxes (pork cutlet\, teriyaki salmon or sesame tofu)\, boba drinks\, iced coffee\, soft serve ice cream\, packaged ice cream\, shave ice\, cotton candy\, Japanese beer\, sake\, plum wine\, sodas\, and lemonade. At the Senior Center\, food trucks will provide a variety of menu offerings. \nOutdoor entertainment is held at the Amphitheater and includes Taiko drum groups\, Japanese dancers\, various martial arts\, and musical performances throughout the day. The 2025 student delegates\, VIP festival guests\, local government\, school board members\, and the 2025 Cherry Blossom Queen and her court will be introduced at noon on Saturday. Throughout the lawn areas will be arts and crafts exhibits and special interest groups such as Japanese dog and koi fish clubs. Children’s activities feature games\, hands-on arts & crafts\, and a petting zoo. \nIndoor cultural exhibits and demonstrations take place throughout the day in the Quinlan Community Center\, featuring music and dance performances and cultural displays\, demonstrations\, workshops\, and hands-on activities presented by professionals\, nonprofits\, and special interest groups. A gallery of Toyokawa student artwork from our annual art exchange program will be on display.
