Keep citizen diplomacy strong in Northern California

Sister city relationships do not run on autopilot. They take steady coordination, clear communication, and people who care enough to show up.

NORCAL SCI’s annual fundraising goal is $5,000, and your donation supports essential chapter operations, plus our annual youth scholarship for Northern California attendees at Sister Cities International’s Youth Leadership Summit in Washington, DC.

Why your gift matters

Across our 40+ SCI member jurisdictions, sister city programs are often led by volunteers and small boards. When budgets tighten or leadership changes, programs can lose momentum quickly. A modest, reliable chapter budget is what keeps jurisdictions connected, informed, and supported, and it helps ensure youth opportunities are not missed.

If you value local community connections that reach across borders, please donate now. Waiting makes it harder to meet the goal and finalize scholarship support on time.

What NORCAL SCI does

The mission of the Northern California Chapter of Sister Cities International (NORCAL SCI) is to assist Sister Cities International members by promoting and developing sister city activities in Northern California.

Your donation helps NORCAL SCI:

  • connect SCI member jurisdictions so leaders can share ideas and resources
  • promote sister city activities across Northern California
  • maintain core infrastructure, including our website, insurance, and outreach tools
  • invest in youth leadership through scholarship support

Donation impact

Your gift has a direct impact on what we can do this year:

  • $50 supports member communications and outreach that keep jurisdictions connected
  • $100 helps cover essential operating costs like our website and promotional tools
  • $250 helps fund the Youth Leadership Summit scholarship for Northern California youth attendance in Washington, DC
  • $500 strengthens year-round chapter operations and regionwide promotion
  • $1,000 provides leadership-level support for both operations and youth scholarship funding
