The Matsuyama–Sacramento Sister City Corporation (MSSCC) participated in the 102nd Annual Camellia Society of Sacramento Show on March 7-8, 2026, where members hosted a display and promoted the mission of cultural exchange between the two cities.

Also in March, Nitta Seiun Secondary Education School in Matsuyama sent 5 students for a 2-week homestay with students from McClatchy High School in Sacramento. C.K. McClatchy High School has been an official sister school with Nitta Seiun Secondary Education School since 2017. Every year, McClatchy students participate in a biannual exchange program where they stay with host families, attend classes at Nitta Seiun, and explore local points of interest. In addition, students take part in pen pal writing and virtual meetings throughout the year.

On April 12, 2026, Matsuyama–Sacramento Sister City Corporation participated in the annual Japan Day celebration at California State University, Sacramento promoting Japanese culture to CSUS community. The event featured a variety of traditional and modern performances, including a Taiko drumming, martial arts demonstrations, cosplay, Sac State’s Soran Bushi dance, and more. In addition, there were many hands-on learning activities available, such as origami, calligraphy, board games, and dancing.
