A Sacramento delegation recently completed a five-day exploratory visit to Morelia, Mexico, taking an important step toward establishing a formal sister city relationship between the two cities. The group included Sacramento County Supervisor Eric Guerra alongside other regional civic leaders.
During the visit, the delegation met with their Morelia counterparts, opening dialogue and signing a preliminary agreement to formalize the partnership. The proposed sister city designation is expected to be brought before the Sacramento City Council for ratification in the coming months.
